ASM #300 homages are overdone, but I like this one.
Blue Book: 1947 #1 (CVR H) (Virgin) (FOC) (David Mack)
I might be a little biased here, but I love some good alien abduction stories, and this cover has a great old-school sci-fi vibe to it vibe to it.
Ultimate Black Panther #1 Bosslogic Ultimate Special Variant
This is the first cover appearance of Ultimate Storm. I'm not sure if any of these Ultimate Universe characters will hit, but I like what I am seeing from Hickman so far.
Edge Of The Spider-Verse #1 Skottie Young
Although there will be a large print run, this cover will still be highly sought after. If you look at Skottie's covers from older Spider-Man-related books, they either hold or increase in value, and this is a great cover.
Spec Picks
Avengers: Twilight #2
Probably the first James Stark as Iron Man. This is definitely a hold-and-see. It's not in continuity, but I could see some potential if this character draws enough interest.
Edge Of Spider-verse #1 Regular Cover
Another Spider-verse? It's likely the majority of these first appearances won't amount to anything, but with how successful the books and movies have been, you never know. This issue features the first cover and first appearance of Weapon VIII.
Miguel O'Hara Spider-Man 2099 Regular Cover
It seems that each issue of this series introduces a new member to Miguel's rogue gallery, which I find quite exciting. Given the success of Spider-Man 2099 in the Spider-Verse movie, it wouldn't be surprising to see the character get its own animated feature.
Spider-Boy #3 Regular Cover
Quite a few Spider-related firsts this week! We have Toy Soldier making a first appearance. I am not sure of how he will fit in with Spider-Boy long-term, and villain spec is typically pretty weak, but with how well this series has been received, I think it's a smart bet to stash away an extra copy or two.
Ultimate Black Panther #1 Regular Cover
First appearances from Black Panther, Killmonger, and Storm in the Ultimate Universe. The Success of these firsts will depend on how well the new universe is written and embraced.
Mace Windu #1 Regular Cover
As a rule of thumb, I always stash an extra copy of any Star Wars title that has any of the following: It is a first issue, a great cover, or has a first appearance. Mace Windu #1 has all three, so count me in.
