Foc Picks For 1/7/24

Welcome to the first FOC of the year! I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays; while I certainly did, not having an FOC for the past two weeks has been odd. This week, we have a few interesting covers and titles to consider, but overall, it's another light week for FOC picks.

Cover Picks

TRINITY SPECIAL # 1 (ONE SHOT) CVR B JORGE JIMENEZ CARD

Another gorgeous cover by Jorge Jiminez.

BATMAN # 142 CVR F GIUSEPPE CAMUNCOLI FOIL VARIANT

There's a plethora of covers for what is supposed to be a Joker year one story. I think it will be a hit, and if I had to settle on a cover, this would be it.

POWER GIRL UNCOVERED # 1 (ONE SHOT) CVR D JOSHUA SWAY SWABY FOIL VARIANT

I've mentioned before that I'm not a fan of the Uncovered series from a speculation standpoint. However, this is an excellent cover to keep for the future.

BIRDS OF PREY # 6 CVR D PABLO VILLALOBOS SWEATER WEATHER VARIANT

This cover is likely to be popular on NCBD. However, this series hasn't been a top seller, so there's a chance that the number of printed copies will be low. This could make it a good option for a long-term investment.

TMNT LAST RONIN II RE-EVOLUTION # 1 COVER E J. GONZO DIA DE MUERTOS VARIANT

These Muertos variants have been selling above cover price pretty much right out of the gates. With Mikey on the cover, this is a lock.

FOC Spec Picks

Dwellings # 3 Second Print

Dwellings has been a great sleeper hit, and I think we will see demand continue to grow for this series as time passes and books come off the market. This will be especially true for this second printing as they have announced allocations will take place as the print run will be limited to 500 copies.

BATMAN # 142 CVR A GIUSEPPE CAMUNCOLI & STEFANO NESI

The Joker's origin story has been told many times before, but this book is a must-have for any Batman collector.
