Hello all, and welcome to Bound 4 You Comics!

After a couple of years of selling online (primarily through eBay), I have finally created this Facebook page in hopes of creating a community where We can share some of what I have learned as well as any exciting and relevant information regarding the industry and collecting.

In a world where digital entertainment dominates, there's an enduring charm to the tangible and nostalgic world of comic books. For me, the allure of comic books goes beyond the captivating stories and vibrant artwork – it's a journey into the past, a celebration of creativity, and an entrepreneurial venture. This post delves into my journey of why I decided to start collecting and selling comic books for a new online store.

(Re)Discovering the Passion:

My love affair with comic books began in childhood. I vividly remember the first time I opened the pages of a comic – the colorful characters, the dynamic storytelling, and the sense of escapism it provided. As the years went by, my collection grew, each comic telling a unique story and preserving a piece of pop culture history.

As I got older, comic collecting slowly took a backseat, and whenever I attempted to rekindle my passion, for comics, I would feel overwhelmed by where to start and kept putting it off for another day.

The resurgence of comic book culture in recent years has been nothing short of a renaissance. Superhero movies, conventions, and an ever-expanding universe of characters have fueled a global interest in comics. I began piccompletefull story arcs of titles of characters I loved as a child, as well as newer series such as Invincible, SIKTC, Radiant Black, etc..

This cultural shift not only reignited my passion but also sparked an idea – why not share this love with others through an online store?

The Joy of Collecting:

Collecting comic books is more than just accumulating valuable items. It's a treasure hunt, a quest to find rare editions, first appearances, and limited prints. The thrill of discovering a hidden gem in a dusty comic book store or a forgotten corner of an online marketplace is unparalleled. This joy of collecting became the driving force behind my decision to venture into the world of online comic book sales.

Preserving History:

Comic books are not just pieces of entertainment; they are time capsules that encapsulate cultural, social, and historical moments. From the Golden Age to the present, each era of comics reflects the spirit of its time. By curating and selling these pieces of history, I feel a sense of responsibility to preserve and share the rich tapestry of storytelling that spans decades.

Connecting with a Community:

One of the most rewarding aspects of starting an online comic book store is the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals. The comic book community is vast and diverse, comprising fans, collectors, and artists. Through my store, I aim to create a space where enthusiasts can share their passion, discuss their favorite characters, and find rare editions to add to their collections.

The Entrepreneurial Spirit:

Beyond the love for comic books, there's a spirit of entrepreneurship that fuels my endeavor. In the digital age, an online comic book store opens up a global marketplace, reaching fans and collectors worldwide. It's a chance to turn a beloved hobby into a business while contributing to the ever-expanding world of comic book culture.

Conclusion:

Embarking on the journey of collecting and selling comic books for a new online store is more than a business venture – it's a testament to the enduring power of storytelling and the magic of comics. Through this endeavor, I hope to not only share my passion with fellow enthusiasts but also contribute to the ever-evolving narrative of comic book culture. As the pages turn and new chapters unfold my online store is not just a marketplace; it's a celebration of the timeless art form that continues to captivate hearts around the world.
